Rene Marie Russo was an American actor, filmmaker and supermodel. Known for her elegant beauty her endurance in the popular film industry speaks to her talent and skills as an actress. In the 1970s, she started modeling and quickly became a prominent person in the world of modeling. She studied acting and theatre towards the beginning of the decade, before starring on stages throughout Los Angeles, and other areas of California. Russo made her screen debut on ABCs drama show Sable in 1987 portraying the character of Eden Kendell. A year later, she portrayed Tom Berengers love interest in her first film Major League. Her character was a constant delight to the praise of those who were wary of her performance. Her praise was for her performance of Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she competed with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. In spite of this, she admits to not having a passion for the acting. After a prolonged break and self-imposed, she returned the role in 2005. She then made a comeback by playing a character in the action film Thor. In addition, she starred in her husband's Oscar winning film Nightcrawler. Then she went on to perform in light-hearted comedies, like The Intern and Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes within the UFC. She started out as an amateur fighter that competed in regional events before joining Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she entered The Ultimate Fighting Championships. The fighter has achieved a significant amount of recognition since joining the UFC thanks to both her success both inside and outside of the octagon success. Namajunas is one of the Lithuanian born American, who was born June 29th the year 1992, at Milwaukee Wisconsin. While growing up, Rose was involved in games like basketball or kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships provided her with the opportunity to make her debut as a professional at age 18, when she defeated two of her opponents. Dana White was impressed and was able to sign Rose up for UFC's strawweight division when she was the age of 22 on December 14, 2014. Rose has been through highs as well as lows throughout her professional career, but she always comes out triumphant. In April of 2015, Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale which she took by technical knockout just 3 minutes in Round One winning the title. Not only successful in winning the title but being named Fighter Of The Night along and making history in MMA because this was the one of the very first times that woman was a champion for a title with a major promotion organization worldwide . Namajunas continued to have many more victories, including two wins against Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her the title of Performance of the Night by UFC.
